Even in baby pictures, senior Kevin Johnson grips a basketball. But during his senior year of high school, he turned down two offers to play college ball, in order to βfocus on studies.β He chose ΒιΆΉΣ³Ορ Pacific, where he felt encouraged in his faith and academics, and never had to leave sports behind. (Thank you, Intramural Program!) Then one day, he got a call from the head basketball coach. The coach had seen Johnson play intramurals, and offered him a spot on the . βIβm so thankful he reached out,β Johnson says. βI didnβt realize how much being on a team meant to me.β
